Toronto singer-songwriter Johnny Orlando and British Columbia-born pop star Carly Rae Jepsen got a loud reception from the crowd as they performed on a downtown street Sunday.
The performers were on hand as part of the Hudson’s Bay Co. holiday window unveiling.
The Bay and Saks Fifth Avenue unveiled their third annual window display and in-store pop-up on Queen St. W. for the holidays. Along with the iconic giant piano from FAO Schwarz — a life-size piano à la Tom Hanks in Big — the pop-up also features a milk and cookie bar, a snow globe customization station and photos with Santa.
Orlando took the stage first, before Jepsen came on. After quipping about the cold and asking the audience to snuggle together, Jepsen opened with a cover of Wham’s infamous “Last Christmas.”
Queen St. W. was set to be closed from Bay to Yonge Sts. for the event.
